• Speck – Cured smoked ham from Alto Adige in northern Italy, seasoned with salt, pepper, juniper berries and bay leaves

Serrano Bodega Ham wins gold star 2013

Our Serrano ham has just won a gold star at this year’s Great Taste Awards organised by the Guild of Fine food. The judges’ comments were – ‘Lovely texture and good balance of fat to meat. Good flavour that slowly evolves in the mouth’. The Serrano is from an artisan producer in Salamanca, Spain and air dry cured and extra matured for 18 months.

Bayonne ham wins gold 2012

Our Bayonne ham won 2 star gold at the 2012 Great Taste awards.This follows on from the Kintoa ham that also won gold in 2011 Come and have a taste to see why this famous ham made by the Elizaldia farm in the French Basque region deserved such a prestigious award.

Kintoa Basque Ham wins 3 star gold 2011

Patriana have been proud to stock the Kintoa Basque Ham for the last six years. Imagine our delight when we found out that it has has been awarded 3 star gold at this years British Great Taste Awards following on from the gold medal awarded in Paris earlier this year . This represents the highest award given by the guild of fine food.This year over 7,000 products were entered and only 114 were awarded the three star gold. French charcuterie and other speciality products

We deal with several artisan producers in the Basque country. This region is famous for the quality of its food and the Basques, who are very proud of their long history, have preserved the very best of their gastronomic culture. We have the products for which it is well known – its charcuterie, spices and seasonings, including the famous Espelette red pepper and ewes cheese. We also have selected products from other regions such as jams and honey from Provence, Tapenade from the Languedoc and black pudding from a Master charcutier in the Nord Pas de Calais.

Tapas platter

You can select a Tapas platter that is made to order and can either be eaten in the Goods Shed or taken away.

Kentish Hams

We also have some hams produced in Kent. A traditional English cooked gammon ham and a delicious Kentish ham that it is cured and cooked here in the Goods Shed.
