Treats from Mums kitchen
My mums been hard at work for the last few weeks making her luxury mincemeat and pickled onions which we sell out of year on year and this year we have got great batch of quince jelly which is selling out fast!
Indulgant Sweets - Figs Dipped in Chocolate
I’ve also found some real treats from further afield, from Brindisa we have got some wonderful rabitos royale which are delicate spanish figs dipped in chocolate with brandy truffle cream, an absolute delight and a must have for Christmas.

We have got new season extra virgin olive oil from Seggiano and the baked calabrian fig balls another must have to complement your christmas cheese board.

Award winning ice cream from the Ashford area of Kent has a range of rich and exciting flavours from old favorites to exciting creations such as stem ginger and marmalade! My personal favorite has to be the honeycomb crunch quite possibly the best ice cream in the world!!!

Based in minster on the Isle of Thanet Chai Stop Curries are the Kent Producer of the Year Winner. The ladies at chai stop source their ingredients seasonally and locally to produce their luscious range of curries and dahls.
Kentish Cobnut Oil
At Murrays General Store this year we feel privileged to offer a true Kentish delicacy in Kentish cobnut oil from Hurtswood Farm,this wonderful cold pressed virgin oil is as good as the finest oils on the market today. This is reflected by its recent crowning as supreme champion at the 2010 great taste awards where the oil was unanimously voted for by all the members of the supreme judging panel from over 6000 entries!!
Kentish cobnut oil is true labour of love with each nut being hand picked before the process of drying,shelling and pressing. It takes over a kilo of nuts to produce each 250ml bottle of oil. Cobnut oil is lighter in texture than olive oil and has a wonderful nutty flavour it is a cholesterol-free source of vitamins B andE. As well as using in salads and cooking, cobnut oil can be used as an essential oil and is known for its benefits in treating skin conditions.
At Murray’s General Store we have some wonderful oils from southern spain and southern italy and to have an oil ‘from our own backyard’ to sit alongside them is a true testament to how far Kent produce has come!
Ouse Valley Foods
Based on the Kent/Sussex border, Julian and the team at Ouse Valleys creations are not only inventive and delicious but also beautiful to the eye, our favorite is red chili jelly which we have with just about everything at home! We stock a wide range of their products including jellies, curds and chutneys along with fantastic seasonal fresh products such as wild garlic pesto and hollandaise sauce another must have for the asparagus season!

Wonderful extra-virgin rapeseed and sunflower oil as well as kent crisps all produced on the quex park estates.

We complement our Kentish fine foods by working closely with european producers and importers of fine foods with some wonderful goods from Spain, Italy and Greece. Olives et Al
Our #1 olive supplier, not only really good olives but a great company to work with, we stock a range of marinated olives including the ‘classic’,'pistou’ and our best seller the ‘sunshine mix’.
Brindisa
Arguably the finest Spanish importer, sourcing the best of Spanish cuisine. Brindisa supplies us with the best chorizo you will ever cook with as well as the fantastic ortiz range of tuna and anchovies. We stock many other goods such as olives and olive oils All of fantastic quality.
Seggiano
Another quality importer, Seggiano specialize in products from Southern Italy. Famous for their extra-virgin olive oils from their own olive groves in Calabria they also supply us with a fantastic anti-pasti range including artichokes, roasted garlic cloves and semi dried organic tomatoes.
